No. The iOS mobile app only work with the Cyclops Pro+ (SS-5) camera because it is the only camera that is capable of creating its own wireless network to connect to a mobile device.
You can download the SwingShot Remote iOS app for the Apple iPhone and iPad by clicking on the link to the Apple App Store below.
Just follow these steps to wirelessly connect your Cyclops Pro+ camera to your mobile device using the SwingShot Remote app.
1) Download the SwingShot Remote app onto your portable device from the Apple App Store (iPhone / iPad) or Google Play Store (Android).
2) Make sure that the SwingShot Remote app is not already running in the background as the camera will be conflict if there are multiple instances of the SwingShot app open.
Note: To close an open app on an iPhone or iPad, double click the round Home button, scroll right to left to find the thumbnail image of the SwingShot app, then slide the SwingShot App image upwards to exit the app.
3) Turn on the camera by pressing the Power button on the bottom of the camera (Camera will take about 5 seconds to boot).
4) Press in the WiFi button on the side of the camera until you hear a faint click, then let go.
5) The word “Wait” will blink on the LCD top portion of the camera for about 30 seconds. It may take longer. Please wait.
6) Then the Wireless signal will appear on the LCD indicating that you camera is now broadcasting its own wireless network.
7) Go back to you phone / tablet, open the “Settings” app, and open the "Wi-Fi" (aka "wireless") networks. You should see SwingShot listed here. Tap on it to wirelessly connect your mobile device to the Cyclops Pro+ camera.
8) Leave the Settings app and navigate back to the SwingShot Remote app icon on your phone / tablet. Tap SwingShot remote app icon to launch the app. You can now operate the camera and download video directly into the portable device via the SwingShot Remote app.
9) When you are finished with using the Cyclops Pro camera, please push the Power On/Off button to turn off the camera.
IMPORTANT: The activation of the wireless connection on the Cyclops Pro+ will drain on the battery quickly, reducing the maximum operating time to around 40 minutes. If you wish to use it for longer, we suggest you purchase extra batteries from our online store. When using the Cyclops Pro+ without the wireless connection activated, the typical battery life is ~2+ hours of streaming video and 5 hours of standby.

If the camera battery becomes fully drained, the camera will often become "frozen" in this state and will appear not to be charging when first connected to the charging cable. We want to get you up and running and capturing great footage out on the course with your camera as soon as possible, so please take the following steps to revive and charge your camera.
First, the battery has 3 copper plates that must be aligned with contact points inside the camera. You can see these contact points if you remove the battery cover and peak down into the camera. Please make certain you have the 3 battery charging plates aligned correctly with the camera's 3 contact points. Then close the battery compartment door and hook up the charging cable.
Second, it may be necessary to reset the camera. If you own a Cyclops Pro camera, look on the back side of the camera for a small white "Reset" button. Please press reset and see if that solves the problem. If that does not resolve the problem, please plug in the camera into the power charger which is plugged into the wall socket and then press that white reset button again. If successul, the camera will "wake up" and charge as normal.
Third, if the battery is completely drained, it may take 30 minutes or more for the camera to "wake up" and register that it is charging. Please try charging for at least 30 minutes.

NOTE: It will take at least 4 hours to fully charge the camera battery. You should fully charge the camera before its first use.
The LCD screen on your SwingShot camera uses a lot of battery power. In order to preserve its battery, your camera is programmed to go into “Sleep Mode” after just a few seconds of inactivity. This is normal and there is nothing wrong with your camera. All you have to do to “wake” your camera back up is press the green record button once. Then press it a second time to start recording.
Your SwingShot camera has a high capacity lithium ion battery, which is great for providing long battery life. If the battery level falls below a certain level, there are safety measures in place which prevent you from being able to recharge the battery by plugging the AC adapter into the camera. While rarely needed, it is possible to revive the battery using a separate battery charger. Please contact support if you experience this problem, and we will help you to resolve the issue immediately.
To keep the camera design as simple as possible, there is no way to set the time on the internal clock to the correct time. This means that when the battery runs down or is removed from the camera the clock is reset and thus the time stamp on the videos is not accurate.
The SwingShot™ camera is designed to record ~9 feet from your ball. The Field of View ("FOV") varies depending upon whether you are recording in 720p or 1080p resolution. The SwingShot™ camera was specifically designed to be stored right alongside you golf clubs. This enables golfers to easily grab the SwingShot™ camera as they are selecting a club for each shot. Plant the camera’s turf spike in the grass ~12 feet behind (or beside) the ball and aim the arrow on top of the camera straight over the ball. Press the one and only button to activate the recording function, and proceed with your swing as usual. When finished with your shot, press the button to deactivate the camera, remove it from the grass, and drop it back in your bag with your golf club.
The SwingShot™camera is designed to function in normal golfing conditions such as rain, humidity, heat, cold, dirt, and sand, etc.
Absolutely not. The SwingShot™ camera has been designed to specifically not slow play. There is one button, no LCD screen, a wide field of vision, and GPS measuring to the center of the green, eliminating the need to hunt for yardage markers.
The total number of swings each camera will store in memory will vary depending upon the average length of each recording and the total available memory in that model.
For the purpose of simplicity we will focus on the Cyclops Pro™ which has 8GB of memory. When recording in Course or Scenic Mode the Cyclops Pro™ will hold approximately 244 recordings of 30-second swings or 122 recordings of 60-second swings. Most people find that, after the 10-second countdown timer, 30 seconds is plenty of recording time. However, you should test this and set the recording time to comfortably capture your pre-shot routine.
For the Cyclops, which has 4GB memory, you should cut these numbers in half, and for the Cyclops Pro+, which has 16GB of memory, you should double them.
There are 4 basic recording modes. You can switch between modes using the Mode button located on the bottom of the camera.
1) "Course" mode records in 720p | 60fps and has a 10-second delay to allow you to get into place, followed by a variable recording time of 30, 45, 60 or 75 seconds. The time is adjusted on the bottom of the camera using the timer button. At the end of the preset time, the camera then shuts off automatically so you don't record your camera banging around in your bag if you forget to turn it off between shots, and to save editing time later if you only want to share a few shots out of the many you recorded.
2) "Scenic" mode is identical to Course mode except that it records in 1080p | 30fps.
3) "Lesson" mode records continuously in 720p | 60fps until it runs out of memory or battery.
4) "Range" mode records in 720p | 60fps and has a 10-second delay to reload your ball followed by a variable recording time of 10, 15, or 20 seconds, and then shuts off automatically. Again, this is done to save editing time later if you only want to share a few shots out of the many you recorded.

To Transfer Video to a PC Plug the USB mini B of the supplied USB cable to the USB port of the SwingShot Camcorder, and plug the other USB end into the USB port of your computer / notebook. Press the POWER button to power on. “MSDC” will appear on the screen. When the SwingShot Camcorder connects successfully with a computer, a Removable Disk “X” will be shown in Windows Explorer. (The “X” represents the removable drive letter) The SwingShot Camcorder will automatically create a folder titled “MSDC \ 100MEDIA” on your memory card, which will hold the first 9999 videos. Then “101MEDIA” folder will be created for the next 9999 videos, and so on. Each record video is given a file name “SHOT” followed by a 4-digit sequential number in order videos are stored. (Example: SHOT0001.MOV, SHOT0002.MOV, etc.) You can now view or edit the files on the internal memory using your own video player software. Disconnect from PC On the Windows System Tray, click the hardware removal icon. Click the ‘Safely remove USB mass Storage device’ message with the corresponding drive. When the ‘Safe to Remove Hardware’ message appears, you can safely remove the SwingShot Camcorder’s USB cable. Review your video and share it with your friends, your teaching pro, or the entire world.
To Transfer Video to a Mac Plug the USB mini B of the supplied USB cable to the USB port of the SwingShot Camcorder, and plug the other USB end into the USB port of your Mac / MacBook. Press the POWER button to power on. “MSDC” will appear on the screen. Connect the SwingShot Camcorder to your Macintosh computer with the supplied USB cable. Choose the USB device by selecting the “SWINGSHOT” folder on your desktop. The SwingShot Camcorder images are stored in folder of “DCIM \ 100MEDIA” in succession. You can now view or edit the files on the memory card using your own video player software. Disconnect from Mac Find the “SWINGSHOT” device from the Finder. Press the eject icon to disconnect the SwingShot Camcorder. You can safely remove the SwingShot Camcorder’s USB cable. Review your video and share it with your friends, your teaching pro, or the entire world!
Upon returning their rental camera to the pro shiop, each golfer will be given the SwingDrive™ (our proprietary single-use microSD card) used to store the video from their round of golf. Here are simple instructions to transfer the video from your SwingDrive to a PC or Mac computer. Insert the SwingDrive™ (microSD card) into the SD card adapter. Insert the adapter into SD card port on your computer The video will be available to view on your computer Review your video and share it with your friends, your teaching pro, or the entire world. (Note: after a SwingDrive™ has been used to record video in a SwingShot™ camera, it cannot be used again to activate a SwingShot™ camera, but it can be used as a normal USB storage device on any computer.)
SwingShot cameras record and store video using the H.264 codec, which is a widespread modern standard for video compression. These video files are combined with the audio and other media in a .mov format "wrapper" which is used to deliver the combined media files into an integrated single file.
You can use any modern video edit that is capable of working on .mov files containing video recorded and stored using the H.264 codec, which is a widespread modern standard for video compression. For example, versions of Apple's iMovie earlier than iMovie '11 will not recognze the H.264 codec, so you must be using iMovie '11 or later.
Every SwingShot camera has 4 primary recording modes. Only Lesson mode records continuously into one or more long files, all the other modes record short clips.
Course and Scenic modes each begin with a 10-second delay to allow the golfer to set up for their shot, followed by a variable 30, 45, 60, or 75-second recording time, after which point the camera stops recording and saves that swing as an individual file.
Range mode is similar except that it begins with a 10-second delay, followed by a variable 10, 15, or 20-second recording time, after which point the camera stops recording and saves that swing as an individual file. However, unlike Course and Scenic modes, where the camera goes to "sleep" after each recording, in Range mode, the camera automatically loops to start the countdown timer again thereby enabling a player on the driving range to record a series of small clips without having to walk back to the camera before each shot.
The average golfer can record their entire round of golf - including putting - on 4GB of memory, which should be approximately 60 minutes of recorded video.
The fastest way to transfer video files from our Cyclops™ (SS-1) and Cyclops Pro+™ (SS-5 or SS-6) cameras is to an iPad is to eject the MicroSD card from your SwingShot camera and insert it directly into the appropriate iPad SD Camera Connector kit. Owners of our Cyclops Pro™ (SS-3) model, which has internal (non-removable) memory, can connect one end of the enclosed USB data transfer cable to the camera and insert the USB end directly into the appropriate iPad USB adapter.

The fastest way to transfer video files from our Cyclops™ (SS-1) and Cyclops Pro+™ (SS-5 or SS-6) cameras is to eject the MicroSD card from your SwingShot camera and insert it directly into the appropriate SD card port on your computer.
