Why Smartphones Don’t Cut It – Reason 3: You’ll Slow Pace of Play

Golfer in front of clock

Taking out your smartphone in the middle of a golf round is not a smart idea.  It is a time consuming distraction that will slow the pace of play.

First, of all you don’t realize it, but it takes time to a) take it out, b) wake it up, c) enter your password, d) launch your camera app, e) position the camera, and f) start recording.

Second, once you have that smartphone in your hand, it is all too tempting to check your email, text messages, or Facebook account.

Third, everyone in your foursome (as well as the foursomes behind you) knows that messing with your smartphone slows the pace of play. Doing so will just cause people to get aggravated.

SwingShot cameras were specially designed not to slow the pace of play. There is only one button which you use to wake the camera, start and stop recording, and you cannot playback the video until you get back to the clubhouse.

Be a smart golfer, and use a SwingShot camera out of the course.
